Deep Run Lady Lightning Softball

Deep Run Valley Lady Lightning Softball is for players 3 to 23 years of age. We offer players 3 levels of play: Intramural, Select, and Travel. Close to 500 young athletes participate in our softball programs. The program focuses on skills development and fun for all players. Our mission is continuous improvement in player development, fields, coaching, tournaments, and forming a softball community. We play competitive softball in a family atmosphere.

2008 Lady Lightning Fall Ball – Our 4th Year! - NEW this year Pee Wee Rainbow Fall Ball for 3 and 4 year old girls- $50 and one hour long sessions every Sunday afternoon! - The 6U thru 12U program will be held each Sunday afternoon from September 7th thru October 26th and the cost will be $65.00 per player. VIGS 14U Fall Ball and 18U VIGS Fall Ball available as well.
Bound for Beijing - Here is your chance to watch the worlds best softball players in action as they prepare to represent us in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing China this coming August. Watch Cat Osterman, Jennie Finch, Stacy Nuevman, Crystal Bustos along with the rest of the Defending 3 time Olympic Gold medal Champions – Team USA

Lady Lighting Softball has Partnered with ClickIntell part of the Intelligencer newspaper to provide action photos of all Lady Lightning teams. A photographer will visit one or two games for each team and take high quality action photos. The photos will be posted within a day or two on the website at www.ClickIntell.com. You can purchase copies of the picture, digital downloads, magnets, mugs or any of several different items that would feature your photo. You have no obligation to buy, but Lady Lightning Softball does make 6% on all sales. 12U Sunday Select Everybody Hits, Pee Wee Rainbows, and several Rain Drops and Thunder teams have already been caught in the Action. Check it out the pictures are great!
Baseball & Softball Snack Stand Schedule / Picture Day Schedule - Please check to see when your team is scheduled to work in the snack stand. Picture times (Sat. May 10th) are now available - envelopes to be handed out soon by your coach.
Energetic 8’s Tryouts - Tryouts for the 2008 “Energetic Eights” will occur in April. Eligible girls must have been born during 1999. Please fill out the online registration form. This team is to start to prepare young athletes for potentially playing Select and or Travel ball. We are currently looking for a head coach please let Jeff Koenig know if you could fill that role or be an assistant. If there is enough interest and coaching available we will try to field more than one team. Please check out our frequently asked questions for the VIGS Sunday Select Program. Everybody Hits 2008 - sponsored by The Hartford Financial Services. Deep Run Lady Lightning is pleased to announce that The Hartford Financial Services Group has made a generous donation to sponsor our Everybody Hits program for the 2008 season. Everybody Hits is a softball-baseball program for special needs kids,
ages 6-16, and is run by Deep Run Lady Lightning softball players. The weekly session will teach the basic skills of the game in a noncompetitive format with an emphasis on fun! Players can bring a glove or one will be provided. There is not cost to participate in this program and all equipment will be provided. The program will be held on April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, (rain date of May 30th) - All Friday evenings 6:00-7:00 pm. Alicia Detweiler will be coordinating the program this year; she can be reached at aliciadetweiler@verizon.net to answer questions about the program and sign up volunteers. Registration is available online.
Deep Run Lady Lightning is proud to announce a sponsorship with Velocity Sports Performance of Hatfield and Warminster. Deep Run Softball will receive free team training sessions and also donations from Velocity for teams that attend the training. Please contact Velocity for individual free trial sessions along with a 10% discount if you decide to join the program. Be sure to mention that you are with Deep Run Softball.
