I would like to personally
thank everyone that has
helped, and those that
continue to help, make
our program a success
year in and year out. As I
know, everyone cannot
commit the same amount
of time as some others, I
would ask that those of
you that cannot, at a mini-
mal, please acknowledge
those that can and do
commit their efforts. As I
state every year, in my
role as Commissioner, I
will continue to make eve-
ry effort to insure the con-
tinued success of our
baseball program. In ad-
dition, I will do my best to
encourage others to also
pay it forward” and to
take pride in being a part
of such a great program.
A special “Thank you” to
a few of those that helped
make 2012 a huge suc-
cess……….

A word from the
commissioner
Dear Deep Run Families,
It was once again a privi-
lege to represent Base-
ball, as the Commission-
er, for the Deep Run Val-
ley Sports Association,
during the 2012 season.
Last season we again
made strides towards
bettering our program, to
include; a NEW winter
hitting clinic (for 6-8 year
olds heading into Minor
A), the adoption of our
NEW Youth Umpires
Program, and an ex-
panded,
inter-league,
Fall Baseball Program.
These, as well as some
other changes and addi-
tions to the baseball pro-
gram, were a huge suc-
cess. As usual, none of
these successes would
be possible without the
continued commitment
and support of the many
volunteers that our base-
ball program is so lucky
to have.
Parry, Scott Passerini,
Bob Pavlek, and Dave
Yoder.
Great News..........
For the upcoming 2013
season, I am excited to
announce that Baseball
will be reducing its regis-
tration fees by $10-$20
(
depending on the divi-
sion). The 2013 fee
structure will be as fol-
lows:
-
L.L. Majors/AAA
(
$65 per player),
L.L. Minors/T-Ball
(
$55 per player)
Li'l Sluggers
(
$50 per player).
This discount is due in
part to generous contribu-
tions by some of our
sponsors in 2012, espe-
cially that of Dick’s Sport-
ing Goods.
