Deep Run Travel Basketball:
Travel basketball teams from Deep Run compete with other teams from
Bucks and Montgomery counties in the Suburban Basketball League. Competition
is open to boys ages 9-14 and girls ages 10-14. Age is determined
as of August 31, 2006 prior to the season.
Home / Away Games:
The travel season runs from January through mid-February, followed
by playoffs for qualifying teams. Teams play 12 games - six at home
and six away. Home games are usually played at South or Central Middle
Schools on Friday nights or Saturday. Away games are played at times
when opposing teams have gym space available. Deep Run travel teams
also play in local basketball tournaments during and after the travel
season.
Try-Outs:
Try-outs are held in late October/early November and teams practice
and play scrimmage games prior to the beginning of the season in January.
Costs:
Players do not pay any fees for travel until they make the team, at
which time all registration fees ($TBD plus family membership) are
due. Team members must also purchase a uniform at an estimated cost
of $TBD.
